UF water purifier is a brand of water treatment products by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. UV light is produced by UF systems continuously through a quartz tubular lamp (Cobalt 60). This UV light sterilizes the water as it passes through a special quartz media filter. About UF Certified drinking water systems – Water Security Act (WSA) defined the standards which must be met to certify an initial or ongoing certification of UF system.
